Capital Region's Premier Summer Camp

Our summer camp program is one of the best and largest in the Capital Region. Each summer, kids have the opportunity to have fun, try new things and experience our amazing campus.

Registration begins February 1, 2024, for current JCC members. February 15 for Kid’s Time families and March 1 for the general public. Camp sells out almost every year so make sure you get your registration done early!

Payment plans &
Forms of payment

Starting February 1, the SJCC will charge a 3% service fee on all credit card and debit card transactions for both one-time and recurring charges. This change is being implemented to offset fees that the credit card companies are charging the SJCC. To avoid this service fee, you can choose to change your payment method to using ACH transactions, which will allow direct withdrawals from your bank account. You will make this selection at time of registration via CampDoc when you complete the "CampPayment Preference" form. The "Camp Payment Preference Form" must be completed at the time of registration.

All camp fees must be paid in full by the start of your camper's first day of camp or you must sign up for our payment plan for auto-draft payments. We will take your camper's total fees and deduct the deposit to find your balance. Your balance will be split into three equal payments that will be scheduled for the 1st of June, July and August*.

If your camper will not attend camp on dates that fall in the month of August, payments will be scheduled for June 1 and July 1 only.

Change, Cancelations and Additions

A Change occurs when a camper's number of weeks remains the same but their schedule changes. (Changes are not guaranteed and are subject to availability in the program.)
A Cancellation occurs when a camper's number of weeks decreases (i.e., from 7 weeks to 5 weeks of camp).
Changes to programs, schedules, or additional options made after May 24, 2024, will be subject to a $15 administrative fee.

Cancellations for any reason will be processed as follows:

Before May 24, 2024 - Deposits will become a credit on your JCC account to use for other services at the JCC. All payments paid above the deposit are refundable.
Beginning May 25, 2024 - Deposits are non-refundable. All payments paid above the deposit are refundable.

All health profile forms must be completed by June 1st.
All forms should have a green icon to indicate completion.

Please note you will see a zero balance for cost on CampDoc. We only use CampDoc for information and registration, not payment. Use the brochure as a guide for pricing.

There are no refunds on credit card service fees.
Once a registered week begins, no refunds will be granted for cancellations.
There are no credits for unused times or absences.

When adding new weeks beyond the initial registration appropriate deposits will be charged and scheduled payments will be updated.

Registrations made after June 1st will need to provide a deposit and first installment payment for services.

Financial assistance is available depending on availability and need through the generosity of the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York.

The SJCC accepts subsidy payments from the Department of Social Services. Please contact the Camp Director at rachelc@schenectadyjcc.org BEFORE registering.

DSS authorization must be current and valid for the Schenectady JCC before registering your camper.

Extended care will be available from 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Swimming will be determined as we move closer to summer.

Camp Joy: Work, Fun, Adventure!

As great as camp is for the campers, it's an even better place to work. We will be looking for outgoing, spirited people to work with the children at our summer camp Dates of Camp June 26 - August 18
