Music & Morsels: Piyyutim

Wednesday, October 2
 4-5pm (ET) on Zoom
Get “Early Bird” pricing; purchase before September 30.
 $12.50 – $15

The piyyutim are Jewish liturgical poems written throughout the ages, many of which made their way into spiritual gatherings and even into prayer books. What exactly makes it a piyyut? Who wrote these poems?

Whether or not you celebrate the Jewish High Holidays, get the answers to these and more questions by joining multi-instrumentalist Asaf Ophir for a live concert using piyyutim as lyrics to celebrate a tradition that is as old as Judaism itself, with some of the most well-known melodies such as Yedid Nefesh, Shalom Aleichem, and Lecha Dodi. For details & tickets, click here.
