Thursday, May 21st update
During the offseason, we invested in the pool by replastering the entire pool and were very excited to kick off our summer season. Unfortunately, we have now experienced an issue with a damaged below ground pipe that is preventing our pool pump from properly functioning and that has created a delay in the opening of the season. We are actively working to resolve this will continue to do everything possible to try to expedite the process.
We understand this is frustrating news, and we want to make you aware of the efforts we have put in place during this time to minimize the impact on the delayed opening and provide opportunities for swimming, splash pad play and sunbathing.
Our pool complex grounds will be open starting, Tuesday, May 26th during our standard preseason hours for sunbathing and splash pad usage, the snack bar will be closed during this time.
- Monday–Friday: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
We are also very appreciative of following 3 facilities who are generously providing usage of their pools to our Pool and Tennis Club members.
Glen Hills Swim Club, Bruce Drive, Rexford, NY 12148
Schenectady JCC Pool and Tennis Club Members are invited to use their pool on the following dates from 12 pm – 6 pm: Saturday, May 30, Sunday, May 31, Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7. Please make sure to sign in on their check-in clipboard on arrival
Mohawk Club Located at 1849 Union St. Schenectady, NY 12039
Schenectady JCC members may utilize the Mohawk Club Pool Tuesday, May 26th – Friday, May 29th from 3 – 7 pm. Please sign in at the pool as a JCC member.
Albany JCC, 340 Whitehall Rd. Albany, NY 12209
Schenectady JCC members may utilize the Albany JCC outdoor pool starting on Monday, June 1st during the following hours: Monday – Thursday 1 -6 pm, Fridays 12 – 4 pm, Saturdays 12 – 5 pm and Sundays 12 – 4 pm. Please enter the JCC utilizing the membership entrance at the rear of the JCC. The Albany JCC encourages JCC members to please call 518-438-6651 if there is any questionable weather to ensure their outdoor pool is open.
In addition, any outdoor-only member may utilize our indoor pool while these repairs are being completed. To reserve time in the indoor pool, please visit here.
We are doing everything possible to expedite this process and will provide frequent updates, with the next update provided on Wednesday, May 27th, where we hope to provide you a more definitive timeline for reopening and continued information of pool usage available to Schenectady JCC Pool and Tennis Club Members.
Splash Pad
The Splash Pad will remain open and ready for use!
In 2023, the JCC opened its outdoor splash pad for kids to enjoy. The splash pad will be open when the outdoor pool is open and is a great place for your and younger children to play and cool off!
The JCC reserves the right to adjust schedules based on inclement weather and staffing.
